Soccer Tackle Harry LimeParticipant October 6, 2009 at 1:12 pm Just one from Rathkeale v Shountrade at the weekend. kensutzParticipant October 6, 2009 at 2:32 pm Good timing but soft. :( Harry LimeParticipant October 6, 2009 at 3:15 pm Thanks Ken. I’m starting to wonder if I have a focusing problem at 200mm. Here’s another shot at 200mm Seems better (to me) when the subject is closer like here at 112mm. Do you agree with that? Maybe depends on how hard they’re cropped? These shots aren’t processed much at all – just rotation, cropping & levels. Maybe a little sharpening in my post-processing would help. What do you think? paulParticipant October 6, 2009 at 3:20 pm What lens is it? They do seem a little soft. Maybe some sharpening would help in your PP. Nice images though. Harry LimeParticipant October 6, 2009 at 3:22 pm Thanks Paul. They’re taken with the Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 wide open. Harry LimeParticipant October 11, 2009 at 7:24 pm I think the cause of the “softness” was an old UV filter I was using. Today I shot with no filter and upped the in-camera sharpening a little and I think things went a lot better. It was a lot brighter today too.. maybe that made a difference. 1. 200mm 2. Full set is here by the way. Viewing 6 posts - 1 through 6 (of 6 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
