Sika stags from Glendalough

Off work this week :D and was inspired by Seaview’s trip to Killarney to head up Glendalough. Got these above the Miners Village. Had great fun stalking them for about an hour.

These are outstanding, you certainly got really close. What setup do you use, really like the second shot.

Thanks, taken on 40D 500mm, tripod (sunk into the bog until it stops shaking!), wet knees and tiny slow movements :) Was about 25m to 50m away.
All good shots, and well done for getting so close, I particularly like the one
with the blue sky behind him and looking into the camera, great. Any rutting
going on?Very nice, I think #4 would be my favourite, then #5.
