From Killarney with Seaview. I was left wishing I had a longer lens reach than 280mm.

    Hi Mark
Nice shots and certainly worth the effort and track to see these.
Shame you could not have gotten closer , will these crop any further or is this cropped already?
    Cheers, Dee

Lovely to see all the deer shots recently, and great to get to see them
in the wild up close, I love the way he is looking at you in the second shot
though I think this would benefit from a bit of a crop off the bottom to get
rid of the oof grass in the foreground, they really do blend in well with the
colours of the landscape dont they?

Hi Mark. Two nice shots. They had you well and truly spotted, but I think this always adds to wildlife shots. I would be very happy to have gotten so close on semi-open ground. This time of year is always the best for getting close to them as the bucks normally leave their guard down a little. #1 would be my favourite. Well done

No.1 would be my favourite, lovely set of antlers and going by the background it looks REALLY high up which adds to the wildness.

Yeh, it’s a pity about the distance in one way, BUT it’s lovely to appreciate the deer in their natural habitat, which the broader perspective shots allow.

I prefer #2, the dof gives an impression of the distances involved,
and there’s a mental image of our good leader crouched low in the grass
just getting a shot of yer man poised for take-off.
