Free to a worthy cause: Olympus XA2
-
BMParticipant
I recently purchased a Olympus XA2 because I wanted the flash unit to go with my old and trusty XA.
I have no use for the XA2 and I am going to give it free to anyone who wants to have a go at film photography.
So, if you think you are a worthy cause, tell us why in this post and I’ll forward it on …
(I haven’t tested this camera, but it looks in good condition, well looked after and comes with instructions and original packaging).

bingbongbiddleyParticipantI’d love to have this camera as I heard good things about it.
However, I have a few cameras already and I think it should go to someone with maybe one digital camera who is interested in getting into using film maybe, or something like that.
Having said that, if there’s no one else after it, I’d definitely take it off your hands. :)

kasementParticipantHey BM
I’d love the camera, just lost my Yashica T4 two weeks ago and not sure how much longer I can go without a film camera
Karl
miki gParticipantI’m surprised you weren’t trampled in the stampede for this camera as the reviews are very good for it. Maybe film is on the way out after all (Heaven forbid.)
damien.murphyParticipantA cracking little camera in all, whoever is the lucky recipient!
Picked one up a little while back, as a perfect no-brainer camera for the formerly snap-happy parents, and must say film point & shoots don’t come much nicer. In fact, would recommend this as an ideal camera for anyone in a similar boat – computers are not for the parents, and this camera is all I feel is necessary to get them back into the habit of shooting.
A nice little street shooter too, I imagine, and must say am considering picking up an XA to pair with pair with my main camera.. now to just find an XA at a reasonable price.. :)
Damien
MarkKeymasterBrian,
Might be worth putting a post up on the For Sale section as well.
I wonder if as most of the folk visiting the film section possibly already have film cameras
that the right person might be someone who rarely visits here ?Just a thought…
BMParticipantThanks for the suggestions – listed in For Sale and Digital sections
… although I don’t want to be flooded with requests and then have to make a decision!!
BMParticipantSo far, the following have expressed an interest:
Rob – first out of the blocks and would probably give the camera a bit of use
Bingbongdidley (positioned himself as a last resort)
Kasement – suffering from film withdrawalJohnnyMcMillanParticipantWell I don’t know about the other two, but I know Karl (Kasement) would defo put it to good use and getting a Yashica T4 nicked is a horrible thing to happen to anyone!
BMParticipantThe contenders:
Rob – first out of the blocks and would probably give the camera a bit of use
Bingbongdidley – positioned himself as a last resort
Kasement – suffering from film withdrawal
Paddysnapper – looking for an adoption
MeleKalikimaka – offering some home lovingThe winner:
Kasement – we can’t let him suffer without a film camera any longer.
