Anyone fancy a chill out in The Lounge?

However, simply renaming the forum hasn’t solved the fundamental problem. I still think that it has to be clear in the description that ‘photography’ related chat is allowed here. The current descriptions suggests that this is for ‘non-photography’ related chat only. What do other people think?
Thats correct, I don’t really want photography chat in here, thats what I
see the General Photography Q+A for.I feel that if photography chat is allowed in here then it’ll only end up
getting lost in the midst of possibly a larger amount of non-photography chat.I think its fine to have an area on the site where people can just chat, put out jokes
etc…You might recall that originally when we didn’t have a General Chat area that
the chat got mixed in with the photography topics and it was a bit of a mess.Not sure that its all that good to have to filter though non-photography discussions
(which you might want to avoid) to find the photography discussion.That said the upgrade which I ‘am’ actually working on (currently coming up with basic
icons on ‘new posts’, announcements’ etc…) Maybe I’ll split The Lounge into 2 sub-forums
which won’t make the site appear longer but will mean that you would have a space for
just photography related discussions without non-photographic and general q+a topics which
could sit on their own in the 2nd sub-forum, thrown into the mix.I hope that makes sense :)
