A question of Epson Stylus Photo PX710W

I’m looking at this printer as a bit of an all rounder, not specifically for photos ( coz it doesnt take fixer  ) But would be handy for some snaps of the bambino and stuff from time to time.

Anyway my question is this for anyone that has seen/owns/sells this printer, would it be ok for printing some b+w or color documents, eg emails, reports, web pages etc? By OK I mean cost per page, speed, paper feed etc….

    Anyone?

    Sheldon where are you?

The PX7100W is a great printer but for what you are looking at have a look at the business range. Something like the BX6ooFWhttp://www.epson.co.uk/Home-and-Home-Office/Printers-All-in-Ones/Office-printing/Epson-Stylus-Office-BX600FW . Unlike the Claria (Dye) ink it is pigment based (Durabrite) ink and only has 4 cartridges rather than 6. These are far easier to keep in stock. They still do great photographs and the ink is cheaper per ml and is sold in larger quantities.

I believe the ink is available in different pack sizes too though the web site does not state this. Let me check into it more on Tuesday after the Bank Holiday and I’ll get back to you.
