Film SLR batteries – Nikon F100 etc.

    Howdy,

Just a quick question regarding batteries for film SLRs of all brands. I use Nikon but by all means weigh in if you use a different system.

Are there any SLRs that use DSLR style batteries? The though of dealing with loads of AAs doesn’t sound fun.

If your SLR uses AAs, how many do you tend to go through, what sort of performance to they give.

I’ve considered getting myself an F100 or something along those lines.

    Cheers,

    Alan

I have two F100’s. Never carried around a load of spare AA’s, just the 1 spare set just incase. Batteries last a long time in them. The F100 is a super camera, one of Nikon’s best ever i reckon…

ive got the Minolta Dynax 700si and use 2cr5 batteries but they last about a year at a time with me,

i must also add i dont use my camera every day!

I don’t know about the F100 but the F80 uses 2 CR 123 batteries, they last for ages, even when the camera was left switched on in my camera bag for a week, they still didn’t run out.
