I like the touch, feel and smell of books and don’t think I’d ever give up buying them.
What I’d like to see would be you buy a book and get an link to download an ebook
also. Best of both worlds :). Of course for photo books, I don’t think that an ebook could
replace a printed copy.Apple are meant to be bringing out an ebook in the New Year. I’m gonna wait until then

Could not function with out it now.. i have downloaded hundreds of books, and with the help of some free software they are all resting comfortably on my sony reader. I use it every day, i have photography books, novels, Tech specs’ and even papers i need to read for my masters.

I have a Kindle II and love it. Very convenient to take on trips because it’s pretty thin and light.
The E-Ink screen is excellent (looks like a book – not a computer screen) and battery life is great too since it only uses batteries when turning the page. (It is powered off when you are actually reading.)
The one thing I don’t like about it is the fact that I don’t really own these books anymore. In reality you are paying for a license to read the book, not the book itself. With a real book, when I am finished I can give it my dad, my wife, whoever. The Nook does allow “sharing” but details from B&N are sketchy and from what I have heard a book can only be lent once – maybe as the Nook becomes more popular the details will be more clear.
But I do love to read books using the Kindle.
I can’t imagine anything ever taking the place of actually physically turning the page on a good book.
