Been a while since I posted anything, so here goes.
I did a shoot at the Halloween Burlesque Ball at the Button Factory on Halloween night. I’m still working through the shots from that, but this one was taken at the aftershow party later that night.
I really like the shot, but as it’s not a studio set up, there’s a couple of thing that are annoying me. The major thing is the two girls in the background. I’ve tried using the burn tool to darken them down and and also cloning, but neither worked well.
Usually I wouldn’t bother, but I think it works so well as a portrait that I’d like to be able to clean it up a bit. Any ideas?
Secondly there’s the shadow across Miss Cross’s face. Not sure there’s a whole lot I can do about it now, and it doesn’t bother me that much, but still.
Cool shot Robbie, they are loving the camera. Look like great fun.
For the girls in the background I think olny the one facing is the problem, particularly the highlights on her glasses.
I think if you get a brush and paint the highlights in her glasses a similar dark colour to near there she will look ok, but not so distracting.
The shadow on the chin, is a little niggle, not sure how you would fix it.
You could perhaps sharpen both sets of eyes and her lips a bit.
