Taken just around corner from Buckinham palace. We went there for a few days, and London is just amazing in autumn!!

Hardly any post processing. Taken with (that AMAZING) canon 70-200 F/4.

    Feedback much appreciated.

I’m very surprised that nobody has commented on this. The out of focus autumn colours are great in this. The girl is nicely focused and stands out very well from the background. I’m not sure if eye contact would have added to this shot, as the candidness is cool. I find the way she is clutching the umbrella a bit distracting, but then again, it draws your attention to the type of weather you can expect. All in all, I would call this a good photo.

    Hi Peter,

I’ve had a couple of looks at this as I felt on first view that I
would have preferred it if the ladies legs had been included.
On subsequent viewings I feel the same.

I liked the atmosphere of the shot and the out of focus background
    set the scene well.

    Cheers.

    John.

    Hi Miki, thanks!

John , I liked it with the legs too, but ‘the lady’ didnt want them in! Not that she has anything to be ashamed of ;)

    thanks both for commenting.

    John.

Really nice staged shot but as quoted above would have really like to have seen a full length shot. Nice colours and nice image all the same.

I think it’s a fantastic shot. Agree the legs would have made it the perfect shot, probably.

Here’s another one (B n W), different angle so no ‘legs’ issue here.
I was told she looks a bit apprehensive but I think it’s just a ‘sophisticated’ look ;)

please tell me what you think!

I like both of these Peter, however, I can’t help but feel that they could do with some cropping. The model is too central in the frame for my liking. Particularly in the first where she is looking to the right, I’d be tempted to push her over to the left side of the frame, cropping the left side just to the right of the lamppost.

The second is the same, the subject is over powered by the trees I think. A tighter crop on this one, and possibly even a portrait orientation as well…. I do like the conversion to B&W in that one though.

Would like to see more like this

Thanks Peter. Ill have a look at the first one and see what a left side crop does to the image! Cheers
