what should I see before I leave Dublin??????

    Hi folks,
since the day of leaving is coming (even though I don’t know exactly when, yet!), I’d like to know which places should I see (and of course take pictures of them!) before moving.
I mean, not just the usual ” tourist” places or the classic “postcard views” (I think I saw almost all of them!)…. I’d like to know what’s YOUR Dublin or YOUR Ireland, if you want to share, of course, so that I can bring with me some good memoirs (and again, hopefully, some good pictures!)

    Thank you all

I’d do the DART, Alessia, taking the time to go from Killiney to Balbriggan.
You’ll see lots of different sides to dublin – rural and urban.
A walk around Howth head is a must – takes 3 hours or so depending on how often you stop.

Mick, I love this idea….. it could be a wonderful project…. I’ll think seriously about it (hoping the weather will be merciful!)

    Thanks!

Walking the cliff walk around Howth Head and St Anns Park are my favorite places in Dublin to spend a few hours….

    Enjoy….

Yes, all pubs, and not too far from the usual ones Sharon-
over the other side of Grafton Street-

    Grogans-
I hadn’t been in there for a long while,
but I was blown away by the Stained Glass by Jim Fitzpatrick-
though I have to admit, I had been in a couple of the other pubs on the list first…

International Bar, kinda faded, but good interior, great light in the daytime,
and a bit of music towards the weekends-
low key, around a table kinda sessions-

Peter’s Pub, used to be a haunt a long time ago-
they’ve extended it now, but still retained that classy ’60’s interior-
And the staff are still the same, so I sometimes go there to get insulted…

Not quite sure why it was the pubs that were the first thing to spring to mind about Dublin…
