    Gerry,

    Wonderful set of pics! :D

It was great to meet you on the day and

for your first time using 120 these are brilliant.

    Great people shots especially.

Love number 2 most of all,

reminds me of Oliver Reed in

    the film Gladiator.

The Blue Sharon shot was funky and the flash

picture of the Z man was cool. 8)

Hope to see you again and keep shooting.

Good man Gerry. As George said, the ‘Oliver Reed’ one is brilliant,
    nice toning too…

It’s looking more and more likely that I’ll be the last to post anything
    from the day…

Great set Gerry…. are you sure it was your firs attempt with a Holga??????!!!!!!!
I love the first one because it’s so nicely grainy, the blu Sharon is wonderful… love also the one of the Custom House (is it the Custom House, isn’t it??), great colors and reflections. I also like so much the dreamy atmosphere of the last one!

    Good job!

    Hi Gerry,

Thats a really good set of images you have there.

I’m starting to recognise the faces now. :)

    Cheers.

Like everyone else says, nice shots. ‘Oliver Reid’ looks particularly good. The lack of anything in the shot to act as a reference to anything modern adds to the antique feeling. Event hough there is a slight glimpse of a building in the distant background, it is sufficiently obscure to be insignificant. Definitely my favourite. I have something similar but not nearly as good. What did you use to give it a slightly yellow cast? Did you use a plug in or your own recipe? It works well for the scene. I reckon there’s a couple of good profile pics in some of the other shots. Zoltan, Sharon and Robbie might just be sending you a request :)

Now . . I must get around to posting my photos from the day.

Nice set of shots. Like the first the best and the one of the customs house.

The focusing on these looks very good. Can be hard to focus on the holga when not focusing on infinity so you did a great job

    Well done

You got some really nice ones from the Viking settlement :) and the
Customs House is really sharp, nice mix :)

    This one stands out-
great engagement, fantastic lighting, almost looks like you provided some fill yourself-
the lady in the background, although she’s out on the edge of a dodgy lens,
she adds to the madness of the scene you’ve presented-
    and as has been mentioned,
there’s nothing modern to break the spell you’ve woven-

Fantastic portrait, lo-fi or no, just goes to show that photography is all about the light…

    Hi Gerry!

    Wonderful stuff!

Each is different from the other. I am impressed that you were able to get such a range of effect. I agree that second is just so great for all the reasons that have been mentioned.

I love the blue flash…it is creepy and cool

    :D

I think I like the name BlueSharon..I might change it to that~~
