SteveDParticipantMark, I really like #2. It looks like you might have risked your life to get that image (!), but it was worth the effort!
PD_BARBSParticipantMDCPhotographyParticipantNo 2 really gives a sense of high up you actually be across from the Isle of Doagh, nice shot
markst33Participant#1 and 2 for me but if I had to pick just one then it would be #1. Great light and perspective.
Mark NParticipantThanks for the comments everyone. I think # 2 would be my favourite out of this set as well.
Steve, the photo was taken from the top of the cliffs and there was no wind blowing so it wasn’t that risky.
Mark
BrickerParticipantHi Mark,
These are fantastic, fair play.
#2 would be my favorite too. I would clone out the red buoy (or girl) in the sea at the bottom right, just to be tidy!
#1 is cool too, but it loses out due to the unfortunate building at the base of the hill on the left.
Its a beautiful scene, very impressive.
dar_dParticipantI think they are brilliant and that number 1 is the standout for me….The shape of the countryside is fantastic…..
Mark NParticipantThanks Des and Darran. It’s a lovely part of the country all right.
The red and blue dots are 2 canoists. It would be no harm to clone them out as they are too small to add anything to the scene.
The building on the right is a picturesque church and would be an integral part of the scene. The building to the left of that is a farmhouse and does take away from the picture. I might try to clone that out.
You’ve a good eye for detail Des.
Thanks for commenting.

Liam2673ParticipantLight is lovely in the first.
I can’t see the whole of the second shot on my screen, so I can’t make a full judgement on it. However, I’d wonder whether it might be improved by cropping out the shadowed portion at the bottom, can’t make my mind up. Anyhow, I’d prefer the second, thinks its a wonderful perspective on the scene.
Mark NParticipantHere’s #1 with the farm buildings cloned out.
I think I posted #2 too big longways. Here’s a wider crop with the canoists cloned out.
Thanks for the feedback.

Gary McParlandParticipantReally great shots mark, like both of the latest versions and would have been very happy to have taken them.

jb7ParticipantShot no.1 of the last set looks stronger to me-
I was looking at something like that earlier,
but since all I seem to do is to suggest crops,
I kept schtumm-Anyway, definitely stronger-
There seems to be some colour in the sky-
almost like the colour that might suggest smog,
which I know to be unlikely-
I wonder is there a variation with a cooler colour?aoluainParticipantpopped in here yesterday to have a look at these.
I really like the first 2, beaytiful and dramatic scenes but
I just think the colour balance is wrong . . . too much green.I took the liberty of editing the first image as you have
“edit my pics” on yes, hope you dont mind.I just quickly added auto levels in PS and added a 10%
warm up filter and boosted the saturation by 10% and removed
some green from the sea on the right.I think the colours are a little more natural.
Mark NParticipantJB, I’m not sure what the colour is. I have added a graduated filter adjustment in Lightroom to darken the sky and boost saturation. I’ll see if I can come up with a version with a cooler colour.
Aoluain, I don’t mind at all anyone editing my images. Thanks for taking the time. But I can’t see it in the post. All I can see is a red X in a box.
Thanks for the comments.
