I finally got the roll i’ve exposed in switzerland!
C&C welcome
BTW: dublin camera exchange took 1 week to develop this, i think i’m gonna start developing stuff on my own, is gonna be tough :)
jb7ParticipantNo, not tough at all, and you’ll get all your questions answered here, if you run into difficulties-
That’s a pretty serious vignette-
have you done something to your camera?
Or is it just a high contrast scan or processing?Very totemic, is that sculpture or driftwood?
pallotronParticipantIt was a *VERY* cloudy day, not a day for holga i guess, but i said f**k it, IM GONNA SHOT ANYWAY.
when i got the roll the pictures were very grey… just passed them in gimp thru a white balance, played with leveling and netrual gradient.
so yes i guess the strong vignette is due to post processing.also i’ve found some horizontal scratches on the film…
check this out at full resolution, not a very good picture but i like the oldish style and also i do care a lot of hte people in the picture :)
maybe the mask inside the camera (the one you use to choose between 6×6 and the rectangular format) is not perfectly fixed?
pallotronParticipantah, and yes, that was just driftwood, if you look it better it seems like a man sitting :)
aoluainParticipantNose Oil for the scratches !!! according to Mr.7
I really like this even with the vignette!
there is something very eyecatching about that
lump of wood, looks like a figure.nice holga shot.
pallotronParticipantaoluainParticipantjb7ParticipantThough I wouldn’t blame you for not trusting both me and Wikipedia…
Scratches become more apparent on underexposed negs,
and are usually caused by the transport mechanism of the processing or scanning machine-
though it’s unusual on b&w…Bringing it to the attention of the lab might help for next time,
though it might be easier to just try another lab altogether-I once heard somebody here mention that Conns was good, for colour…
bingbongbiddleyParticipantI like this a lot.
I particularly like that it looks like a man sitting, sunning himself.
You just came across it like this?
Nice work,
Alan
