Hi all,I know this has been covered somewhere but cant find it.How do I convert RAW to JPEG for Dummies.I am a complete novice so please be easy on me.
also what is the best method for storing pics,I have them on my computer at the moment and they are in RAW which i believe takes up alot of memory. :?
I use the Canon DPP software to first get the RAW files from my cards to PC, then delete what i think are Cr*p.
I then adjust the exposure (if needed) and then with whats left, I convert in batch to a folder named on my computer.
When i am finished with the conversion, I have a folder with the name of the photos ,and within that I have them RAW & JPEG
Once a month I copy the files to an external Drive and burn the RAW files to DVD-R (this is a habit I only have in the past 3 months after loosing an external harddrive to a power surge and the having to jump through hoops to get my 29,000 photos back.)
Filing my photos is something im useless at but have managed to find anything i need, by simply naming folders (Landscape,Nature,Macro etc)
