Quick snap, had just the one chance to capture the guy pulling on his cig before he spotted me close by with 50mm lens at F1.8 & 1/60s with iso of 1400.
I think that the f1.8 is way too shallow for this. The depth of field is very narrow which means focus needs to be spot on. F1.8 is really only useful for a very very specific point of focus, otherwise I’d suggest staying above about f2.8.
just doesn’t look right, the light looks wrong or something else takes from it, I could imagine you rushed this one, street photography is very hard to do unless you have some contact with your sublect, still I probally couldn’t do better myself.
