Stolen Gear – Notice

Dear All,
I have just had the home burgled – all my camera gear has been taken – please keep an eye out for the following-
Canon 1 Ds II
Canon 40D
Canon 20D
Sigma 500mm f4.5
Canon 300mm f4
Canon 70-200mm f4 IS
Canon 17-40mm

You post serves as a timely reminder for us all to keep track of the serial numbers of our kit,

Just keep an eye out particularly in the Cork area. Some the stuff is not the most common e.g. the 500mm. I have all the lens nos. etc.

Hi MJ. Sorry to hear about the theft of your gear. It’s a big loss, but at least nobody was physically hurt. It might be a good idea to post the serial numbers on PI and a list could be handed into local camera shops etc. Hope you get it all back.
That’s sickening. Hope you get the gear back or at least the home insurance will cover it.
Sorry to hear that, I’ll keep an eye out in the various site and see if anything pops up.
Are there any car-boots in the area this week-end……Could be worth a look!

Hi all,
Thanks for all the support.
The Gardai were here this morning and got a good few prints. It looks like they were disturbed during the breakin and dumped some of the stuff. So I have recovered the 20D, the 300 f4, 16-35mm, and the 70-200mm. I’ll give you more news when I get it.
