Sunset in Kerry

Hi Vivek,
I can see these now.
I am very fond of colour of evening and morning light and
the colour here is very attractive.I have taken quite a few photographs like this and I am
undecided whether there is enough in them to make an
image that works.I still don’t know.
Not much help to you I know.

The colour of the sunset is beautiful, but I’m afraid the scenery is lost because of it. Maybe the use of a graduated ND filter might have brightened the scene and still allowed for the sunset.Hi Cais – i agree with Miki g. Foreground detail is lost in this capture.
Two other possible solutions.
1. Always shoot in RAW ( if your camera always it) – and recover the dark areas in Photoshop. You will be surprised how much is recoverable.
2. Take two seperate exposures ( one for the sky & one for the foreground) – and blend them in Photoshop or alternative editing software.ciao
