Haven’t used black backdrop in ages! Nice to be working one light again…
Great work as usual Johhny! Just the one softbox in close for these? Lovely profile angle for the second one, and made by the eye contact.

Yup just the one light. Small softbox camera right at 45 degrees down. More than likely off my head being ISO100, 1/125th at f/8

There are much more expert portrait photographers than me
on here but I have to say these look really good to my eye.They look clean and uncomplicated.
The light dosen’t look harsh or overpowering.The eye contact of the subjects is good and the poses don’t look forced.
Takes skill, I’d say, to achieve this.

#1’d like to see how far his hair goes, it’s cropped a bit tightly on top. Doesn’t seem to matter in #2, though.
Johnny, hi, I’m a big admirer of your work, one of the previous comments mentioned Post Production on the skin, was there much and if so what did you do, softening,blending,blurring??

Well basicall there will be an initial cleaning up of blemishs and the sort and under the eyes…few liquify points and some bleaching of the skin, some sharpening and the bobs your uncle…
