Coming back from our christmass brake i noticed a lot of my photo’s who looked well on the camera display were slitely out of focus.
now recently I need reading glasses, and I’m not yet familiar with my new abillity of sight.
So here’s my question to all those reading glass people who like to make photo’sDo you have your glasses on when you shoot.
DakyParticipantIf I’m on a “shoot” I wear daily disposable contact lenses, but if it’s just a case of pulling the camera out of the boot of the car for a couple of shots then I wear my glasses.
Most SLRs allow you make an adjustment for eyesight – the little knob on the eyepiece – adjust that until the readout in the viewfinder looks sharp.
gaffoParticipantBrickerParticipantYes….. its a pain in the aras but Im used to it.
I find it okay hand held, but have to wiggle the head a bit to get into the corners.
The Live View saves the day for tripod shots.
cathaldParticipantI wear glasses all the time and no problems as such
Your pics should not be blurred unless you are using manual focus
miki gParticipantI take my glasses off most times. I just find them annoying. Usually only put them on when changing settings & trying to find the right buttons on the camera, but I can read the lcd screen fine.
Dermot1Participanteyepiece diopter but be aware that your eye’s will get worse once you start wearing glasses for any length of time (mine certainly have, from reading to now a full time wearer) and the diopter will only help to a point then it’s glasses on at all times or contacts.
shutterbugParticipantYes your eyes will deteriorate, even though Opticians insist that they dont! Diopters on the
camera will only go to + or – 2 I think but if you know what you precsription is for your “seeing”
eye you can buy replacement diopters for the right strength, then you will only need your glasses
for settings and checking the screen. I have a cheap pair of reading glasses which is in my
camera bag all the time, doesnt matter if I lose them or stand on them…….1.99 in Penneys!
and thats for two pairs!BMParticipantThe relevant part of the eyes we are talking about here are adjusted by muscles which become weaker as time moves on, hence the need for reading glasses as we get older – this applies to 90% of us.
I wear glasses for distance all the time and I just approach the viewfinder the same was as if I didn’t wear glasses. For close up work – such as adjusting the camera – I have to remove my glasses. Sometimes I remove the glasses for looking into the viewfinder.
