This is one more from my lunchtime soireƩ the other lunchtime.

First time playing with a polarizer in many many years and overdid it somewhat, hence the mono conversion !

You mean you had two lunchtimes? Or you had your evening meal at lunchtime :sick? The shot looks almost IR. Although compositionally great, I don’t get the sensation of snow as quickly as I may if it was in colour.

    Thanks,

Here’s the colour one that I started with… managed to sort the sky out a bit, the over vealous polarizing left the top right nearly black even in colour !!!

Black & white works well, I saw another one of yours and again it looked better in B&W, maybe move over to the dark side, can I be so bold as to ask where you work, how can a place like this be on your doorstep during lunchbreak, I’d love a job like yours, ha! ha!

Great shot Pete. I much prefer the colour. The sky looks good to me.

I’ve been planning on going up to these lakes at some stage myself. Maybe tomorrow.

And you get two lunchbreaks. Must be a government job.
The black & white really has an infra red feel to it, as mentioned. This is the version that I prefer. Well done
