  I’m liking the angle John, and I think that there may be another option – to crop the bottom and right, as then picture doesn’t need the full vase in shot and will help balance the top-left bias of the shot.

  I like it too, it is very unusual. But maybe you could try to flip it, so that the flowers would be on the right side rather then left. I think it might work better.
