As a proud Irish citizen and real sports fan you should. ( although I didn’t know them, but i’m dutch and this sport is huge in Holland and big in Norway)
justaguyParticipantO.k. then.
too difficult. Both hold the irish record for speed skating, both on all distances.
but what makes it different (especially on the 500, 1000 and 1500 m) from all the other countries in the entire world.Alan RossiterParticipantbut what makes it different (especially on the 500, 1000 and 1500 m) from all the other countries in the entire world.
It was done in the summer??
justaguyParticipantNo And it wasn’t done in Ireland either. Paul did it mainly in galgary and Claire in Heerenveen.
But that is not the point.Alan RossiterParticipantOK – not a smart reply but was it outdoors as opposed to on the indoor arena?
Used to love watching this myself…I remember Eric Hyden (spelled correctly?) when he won the 5 golds then joined the 7-Eleven cycling team.
Alan
justaguyParticipantboth arenas are indoor. And to be honest the irish record is terribly slow. Even spain is faster. The only one slower I could find was India.
But again that is not what its different to the rest of the worldjb7Participantreading this thread, I can only think of one possibility-
is it the world record for skating on thin ice?justaguyParticipantjb7 wrote:

Don’t know their age. And I think they represent Ireland. ( IRL was at the back of their name together with the Irish flag)
justaguyParticipantI make it easy for you.
