These are from a studio class I did recently.
The model, Erika, was doing studio modelling for the first time. In the second photo there was a bit of improvisation, the skirt was for someone much larger, so it looks a bit odd.Martin
Shot on Fujifilm Astia 100.
miki gParticipantHi Martin.
I don’t see too many fashion shots on PI, which I found to be pretty surprising. I used to shoot some unofficial shots for a retailer about 20 years ago (mainly fashion shows) and found it to be very enjoyable. It can be difficult to make the clothes look good though, as opposed to making the model look good. I think in #1, you have achieved both. I love the warmth of the pose and the lovely expression of the model. I think this would make an excellent poster for use in any ladies fashion retailers store. Well done.MartinOCParticipantNo idea why there is not much fashion shots on the site, I guess most fashion shooting is done centrally by international brands now in big cities now and so people don’t pursue it so much in Ireland.
It costs to hire a studio, this class was quite expensive. The first is my fav too, but it is such a simple straightforward shot.
Thanks for the feedback,
Martin
redfoxMemberYour model seems to love the camera, great relaxed & comfortable looking shots, both of them, well done.
MartinOCParticipantThanks Redfox,
yeah she was great, very into it for a complete beginner, so it was a very easy shoot.Martin
deeorganParticipantNice poses and the model is great. Well captured. I agree you sell the clothes in them as well as making the model look good.
What more could you ask for. :)Dee
MartinOCParticipantThanks Dee,
it was a very enjoyable shoot, the model was great.
I wonder if she has given up her day job for the glamorous life of modelling.Cheers,
Martin
