I like your cold frosty trees, though there is too much distracting background, I think.
I wonder what a portrait orientation would have looked like.
It’s strange that there’s a railway so close to the main tree. And are those ESB lines?

There’s actually quite a lot going on in what is initially such a tranquil scene.

the esb lines where kept to show the extent and coldness of this frost
the railway is no longer used this once was a route that went to donegal many years ago.
    thanks for your c&c

I like the look of this.
The trees look really attractive and the light looks lovely.

I don’t know the area so my comments could be totally wrong but I can’t
help wondering if there was a better composition available.

The trees and the track look like the most important elements in this image.
Yet there is a shaded section on the right which is, I feel, not adding much to
    the effectiveness of the picture.
Cropping this in the posted image leaves the main tree a bit centred.

I wonder if there was a viewpoint that would have filled the frame with
    the trees.

I’m only thinking out loud and, as I said, I could be totally wrong.

    Nonetheless it’s very nice.

    Cheers.

    John.
