great picture!.I really like. Would have been nice with a graduated filter to darken that sky a little. Be interested to see how this would look in B&W?

Great shot! I was there during the snow a mont ago – even took some shots of the same boat but didn’t get anything a good as that. Nice.

Very nice Paul not much I would change about it
Is it a hdr if so it’s well done and not harsh but perhaps it’s not
    anyhow I like it

    Thanks lads,
    It’s not HDR Cathal,
Just a little burning of the clouds in PS.
I’ve seen your post about losing a little motivation recently,
If it’s any help to you, I’ve always enjoyed looking at your work,
I’d love to get up to those locations that you’ve photographed,
But until I get time, I’m relying on you to wet my appetite!! :)

    Thanks again folks.

Hi Flynny, Havent seen you post in a while. This image is a Lovely image. The composition and the general view is great. The only thing i think i would do is add contrast as it seem to be lacking a bit of bite, but maybe its just my screen- i dont know. Also the sky reflection looks a bit to bright too but i bet with a little more work on it then you will have a cracker. Im jealous on the fact that i cant seem to find the time to find somewhere so beautiful to photograph. Well done Bud !!!

liked this image so much I ended up playing around with in PShop, results below. Great image and reminded me of something you would see printed on canvas….hence the results below, not sure if I like it or not BUT either way great original…

    Thanks for the replies folks,
Ras, thats an interesting take on it alright,
Might be a little OTT for my taste, but fine effort nevertheless.
    I’ve attached a mono version,
See what ye make of it……

    Hi Paul,

I liked the look of this from my first look.
Nice foreground interest and a spectacular backdrop.

I think you have composed and exposed it very well.

I did wonder if it would have been possible to include the top of that
tree/shrub at top RHS side without it altering the composition too much.
For some reason my eye is drawn to this.

The mono version is very good too.

All in all an excellent photograph.

    Thanks Lads,
John ,I see what you mean about that little tree,
In hindsight I probably could have managed to keep it all in frame,
I’ll just have to back and try again…….. :)

Good tones of grass and sharpness too. I also like the tilt of the boat. Which county is this?

Yes lovely shot. Great exposure, and without having to use HDR too.
