Just thought I’d share a few shots I took around the house with my recently aquired Sigma 50mm EX Macro.
I wanted a combined walkabout prime and macro to stuff in a pocket so figured this was a good focal length for that – it’s not much bigger than my 50mm f1.8. I know it’s not long enough for bugs but hey… I prefer things that down creep or crawl anyway :D
Seeing as these are my first shots with a proper macro lens – any tips/pointers/lighting advice would be greatly received!
1: Flower Stem (Handheld, on-board flash with Andrex diffuser)
2: Pear Stalk (Handheld, on-board flash with Andrex diffuser)
3: Chilli Flakes (Table tripod, SB600+stofen off to the right)
Tis interesting what delights lie around the house !! I had a go awhile back and found myself photographing coins and thumb-tacs and staples etc, great fun altogether. Anyway, I found this set very interesting, well done !! :D
