Personally, for these shots i would choose color. Simply because these shots i feel aren’t suited for b&w. The kids are somewhat lost in the b&w versions, my eyes are darting all over the place!
colour for me too – the light is lovely on the trees in the pic of the girl whereas in the black and white its lost,
in the black and whites the tones are all similar there are no real blacks or contrast more a mixture of greys and the children are lost as another post said
Sorry guys to throw a spanner in the works but I think the first one works best in B&W, 2nd has to be in colour, but the first, slight crop, darken it slightly and it’d work for me.
I think you should crop out your son in the first one….. sorry. Just leave your daughter blending into the background. Basically just cut it in half. The fact that you actually have to look to see your daughter makes it a bit more interesting. And extremely unique!
I just quickly cropped it myself and can’t really believe how good it is. There’s actually quite a lot of emotion and feeling with the photo on your daughters side. I think you should really try it at least.
