Don’t know what to call this, or what genre, or what section. I just liked it. By the way – it was intentional to capture the birds at this position but being handheld it wasn’t possible to get a wide enough DOF to capture all in focus.
Alan
smcclawMemberI like this. Its very atmospheric and to my mind wouldnt be out of place as a scene in a Tim Burton movie (sleep hollow, nightmare before Christmas).
Good work
MartinOCParticipantI love this, its beautiful. I hope it makes a great print, it deserves to be printed.
I do take issue with the title
nondescript Lacking distinctive qualities; having no individual character or formYou have to come up with a more suitable one!
Great work,
Martin
Alan RossiterParticipantCheers People. Another that doesn’t suit all but you just have to try them anyway.
Alan.
RASMITH32MemberI like also. I think its the alternative composition that appeals. I realy like the way the branches lead you eye to the birds. Just a pity the birds are not more focused. The vignetting works also
mgstParticipantAlan RossiterParticipantbingbongbiddleyParticipantI think this is very nice Alan. Quite atmospheric. Not much to change in this I don’t think.
I only find the vignette a bit too much.

Agree with that!
miki gParticipantUnusual perspective, but I like it. Strangely, I think the birds being slightly out of focus really works well as you get a feeling of distance as opposed to the sharp focus of the branches in the foreground & I think the vignetting helps to draw the eyes towards the subject (tunnel vision) in this one. Well done
