Colour or BW ?

    Hi Folks,

I took this a couple weeks ago – it’s an 8 image panorama of Grand Canal basin in Dublin. I am thinking of printing it large (40″ x 80″) on acryilc mount. Because that’s going to be pretty pricey, I want to be sure I’d printing the right version. I can’t decide between them myself..

Thanks for making my mind up :D

I’d sway more towards the colour version. Its very striking and I think the light reflected below the bridge leads the eye to the centre more in the colour version than in the BW.

    Both excellent though

Even tho im a sucker for black and white i`d have to say the colour version is best.
    Hope this helps..

have you a location in mind for where you will put it i.e against white wall /uncluttered wall space ? I like both of them but the colour picture really draws the eyes into all the various lights i.e whats going on there … the B&W has a more tranquil feel.

Yes, I will hopefully be renovating my house and there is a specific wall I havve in mind for this. It will be a long white wall. I was kind of hoping to use a large acrylic print to give the impression of having it as a kind of window and this is the view out (if you know what I mean)

another really cool option might actually be an led lightbox, so the print is backlit

Ya that would look cool. And I’d go with the colour version too. It’s a great shot by the way.
