Castle grounds HDR

Appreciate your thoughts on these. Have been playing around with different processing techniques…so go easy on me :-)
I used to love HDR a while ago, now the more I see it, the more I hate it.
I suppose all feedback is good feedback but constructive is always better
I think you have pushed these to far
I think HDR is best when you cant really tell if it is HDR
Perhaps a normal mono conversion on the greenhouse thing would look good
And if no 1 was cut back a bit on the saturation you might get away with itOnly my 2cent worth so feel free to ignore me

thanks cathald. Am tryingto get to a point where I can produce decent HDR shots. For me HDR has its place in the tool box, to be used sparingly. Some shots are made for HDR where others just are not.
What I am trying to get to is a point where I can successfully process a HDR image BUT moreover identify up front what type of shot merits HDR.
I have been trying to identify some scientific logic or trend that can be followed to identify when to take and how to successfully process but its just not proving that straight forward.Appreciate ur feedback.
I have to agree with Cathal here. I like HDRs that you can’t really tell. Just enough to pull out some more colour detail. Otherwise they tend to look like the saturation slider was pushed too far. :)
HDR can be really effective in a B&W workflow, giving very dramatic effects.

Dave.I think that some of the over processed HDR images (like these ones!) while not making it as photographs, do stand quite validly as great graphic images (like these ones!).

I like these. Specially the first one. I like the way you were able to use so many lovely colours in it.I don’t think they are overprocessed, I think they are just nice. And yes, you can tell they are HDR. If you couldn’t, would they still be HDR ?
Im sure they look even nicer in bigger format.I love HDR and when I starte with it I was going OTT with it awell (Like these pictures) and sometimes I still do.
Some pictures can have it. On these ones I would tone it down a little
