I know its short notice but there are a couple of us trying to get out to see the Humpack whale that’s been jump’n around off the coast of wexford. We have a boat liend up.. €40 a head, leaving Kilmore Quay tomorrow. We can take 12, and need at least 5 for the boat to go out. I would love to have been able to jump into the wee white van and head to kilmore in the morning as I would love to see these things up close

What a day… the sea was flat calm.. the sky was a lovely blue… the sun was perfect, could not have asked for better light….we were out there for 5 hours give or take….and saw nothing.. not even a hint of a whale.. not a dolphin, not porpoise, nothing…
On the way back in the skipper of the boat took us around the back of the great saltee island to the gannet colony for a while and we got some nice gannet shots ( we hope ) and some shots of the seals on the rocks….. but no shots of the humpback named Hook
