Fences

Taken at Mullaghmore Beach, I liked the way the fences criss-crossed over the dunes and
the way the grasses caught the wind, not sure if I did it justice though!

    All comments welcome.

    Howdy Jenny,

I like the look of this scene too.

The grasses and the fence have quite similar tones.
I wondered if a little selective dodging and burning might help the contrast between the fence and the grasses.
Of course as always I might be totally wrong.

    Nice picture.

    Well done.

    John.

Howdy back John, :) Havent posted much lately and am trying to get back into it, I nearly walked
right past without seeing the fences at all, they were almost the same colour, I didnt do a whole lot
in post processing just desaturated and boosted contrast a little, I think maybe more would work,
it is a nice part of the country and I was lucky that the sun shone (well for a while anyway)

    Thanks for looking :)

Looks great, well spotted and composed-
Why do you think this isn’t a landscape?

I like the compositional lines but, personally, I would add a tad bit more contrast. I wonder how would it look in a Black and White.

Hmm……..was undecided Joseph, I went with “everything else” because of the title I suppose,
it was more about the fences than the land. Thanks for the comments :)

121FOTO……….thanks for looking and commenting, think you could be right with a bit more
contrast, tried it in black & white also but I preferred it with a hint of colour (I know it is the teeniest hint)
