Beginner Classes in Galway

  Hi, does anyone know if there are any courses being run in the Galway area on Digital Photography. I know GMIT started a course on Feb 8th so I’ve missed that. They dont seem to be running another one again any time soon. I am a total beginner and own a point and shoot digital camera. Hoping to buy a DSLR soon, but want to do a course to learn the basics first! Any info appreciated, thanks!

  Fahy Photo in Shop Street runs courses I think and they’re nice people who know a bit. There is also a Galway Camera Club, but I’ve never been.

  Check out the Galway Technical Instutute, they do short courses in photography too – http://www.gti.ie

  I run a 5 week digital photo workshop and have one starting on Oct 12th, here is the info:

  5 Week Digital Photography Workshop Starts Monday Oct 12th, Taking Bookings! Now Learn how to take great pictures as we cover People & Landscapes as well as ‘Modes’, Apertures & Shutter Speeds, using light & composition & much much more!
