Empty O’Connel Street

Some snaps from a walk about Dublin on March 9th, 2010. It was the day of the Taxi dispute.

A different view of O’Connel Street in Dublin. It is not often that you see it without any motor vehicles on it.

It could even pass for being taken in the early part of last century.

Basically I found the narrative of the second (now removed photo) a bit impolite, I didn’t think it was fair.

I have taken your points on board and removed the picture. Looking back at, i didn’t really think about it at the time and was adding a bit of tongue and cheek to the comment and just uploaded the photo. I don’t usually put a narrative in with the picture and i think I will go back to that and try to take better pictures that speak for them selves.

    Lesson learned, cheers.

No worries Richie, I do understand where you are coming from and most stuff like this is just lack of thought. It was not the picture just the narrative that I found a bit off.
I’m glad I didn’t get flamed for my comment.
Keep up the photography, there seems to be a few people tackling street at the moment, it should be interesting here.

    Cheers,

No problem, I’m here to learn.

Street photography is interesting alright. There is a lot to learn with it.
