Nice one, looks well sharpened-
I think that less saturation in the sky might be better,
might give more prominence to the grass-
Good light-BrickerParticipantThis is a cool shot, not what I expected from the title (wheres the beach dude?).
The sky looks nearly too good to be true, so maybe reign it back a bit?
The other thing that trickled through my mind was a high contrast B&W conversion?
Regardless though, I love it!
flynnyParticipantI’ve come back to this a couple of times,
It’s a fine shot alright,
The sky wouldn’t be a problem for me,it gives a nice contrast to the golden grass colour,
But, and it’s a small But, I can’t help thinking a step or two backwards might have made a slightly better composition,
I get the feeling that the first pole is a little cramped into the frame.
Overall though, it’s a fine effort.streetshooterMemberThe fences are interesting, particularly with their similarity to the grass, but for me the shot is over-processed – too vivid and sharp.
RASMITH32MemberI like this shot , in particular the contrasting softness of the sky against the hardeness of the shapened grass/fence. Nice shot. When I saw 1st I thought it would be a nice B&W shot so took the liberty of converting. Think it stands up well in B&W

Yeah I like that too.
I have a less saturated version aswell. will post that too.aoluainParticipantoh yea !
love the composition Peter, well thought out!
I think the mono shades it for me just ahead of the colour.well done
5faytheParticipantHi Peter,
I love this type of photograph.
I like the colour but I think it suits a mono conversion.I tend to agree with Paul that including more of the foreground pole might have been better.
All in all it’s a lovely scene and I photograph I’d be very happy to have taken.
Well done.
John.
sorleymacleanMemberi agree with the above it certainly lends itself better to a mono conversion.
justaguyParticipantI hear you all, but i’m still sitting on the fence with this.
So i decided to meet you half or at least 1 quarter of the way.
Maybe I need more time.justaguyParticipantGary McParlandParticipantHi Peter
Really like this one and its colour for me. Maybe the first ones foreground with the less saturated sky from the last one.
Gary
DeeboParticipantSame here, i agree with Paul, if the first post was full in the frame it would sit better balanced
Fine effort
Dee
