    Hi all

Got some photos of one of the Killarney lakes recently. Would like some c&c to try to improve! :D

    Camera: Nikon D200
    Exposure: 0.067 sec (1/15)
    Aperture: f/18.0
    Focal Length: 24 mm

    Camera: Nikon D200
    Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
    Aperture: f/9.0
    Focal Length: 18 mm

in Photoshop did separate levels of foreground and background, used channel mixer to convert it to mono and did a curves layer to increase the contrast, then added a vignette with the lens correction.

Lovely images….in particular the first one.

    Hi Anne,

I like both of these photographs.

For some reason I like #2 better composition wise.
I think maybe the boat is in a better position.

The conversions look very good to me.

I’m no expert but I be very happy if these were mine although
I would post them at a larger size (800 pixels wide) to show
    them off to better effect.

    Well done.

    John.

    Hi Anne.
I like the two of these. Very nice conversion in both. I think a slightly lower shooting angle may have helped to give a lead-in using the rope, but I’m no expert in landscapes, so take that with a pinch of salt. Lovely results though. Well done

    Thanks John & Miki g

Sounds like there are different people who like different things!

But at least the bw conversions seem to be ok!

    Anne
