Hello everyone, new to the forum, new to DSLR, had a go at a night shot of Foynes harbour in co.LK, don’t know if its any good thats why I am hoping for some advice from you guys. Theres heaps of experience on this site and I will welcome your ripping it to bits in order to help me improve.
I hope its in the right section, if not will someone move it? I couldn’t find anywhere for long exposure shots or night time shots. Is it best to include camera settings used when looking for advice? Thanking you in advance, Faing
    Canon EOS1000D,
    F8
    10 secs
    ISO 400
    focal length 18mm
I cropped the foreground out and hit sharpen button once but thats all I have done to it. Thanks, Faing

I think you’ve done well. Exposure is good and composition is fine. Comments for the future may be to have a bit more light in the sky, add some saturation and select a more specific point of interest, but a good start none-the-less.

Nice shot always loved the shapes the lights make when they hit the lens.
