B&W : 6×7 (120) : Best place to get processed

This has probably been done to death, but:

I need to develop, scan and potentially print 120 B&W film.
    So my questions are
1: where’s the best place to develop and scan the film?
2: where’s the best place to print?

    -Thanks,

Gunns of Aungier St or Photolabs of Lennox St. Most of us around here do our own printing and processing and this might be the path to follow long term.

To be honest I only have the camera for a while so there isn’t much point in setting myself up a darkroom, although it would be tempting in the longer term.

    Thanks for the tips tho.

Get a changing bag to develop your films, no darkroom required for that.

Second that – a changing bag, developing tank & reel(s) & about €15/ €20 worth of chemicals will get you started. In all about a layout of €50/ €60, with chemicals working out at about €0.50 per roll, and a further €0.20 per roll for sleeves in which to store your negs.

You’ll still need to get your film scanned and printed, although in the case of scanning, a flatbeds that allow you to scan negatives do a nice job.

Printing, I’m not sure about. I’m planning to print myself with a home-brew darkroom, but would also be quite interested in what people here have to say about options and costs of farming out your printing needs

Changing bag – interesting thought, I suppose it wouldn’t be too cumbersome with the film in a small tank… and if I get a scanner then I could just print them at work.

Thanks for the tip guys, you’ve got my thinking cap on…

Could help you with the scaning if needed.
