I would crop it tighter and do some work on her right eye to bring out the detail and then you will have a nice shot.
You could also try to blur the background Photoshop – personally I wouldn’t bother, id spend the time getting the right eye sorted and I think it would make a great pic
A wider aperture giving you a shallower depth of field or a greater distance for the background would sort the background clutter out next time – I’d invest in a 50 1.8 if you don’t already have one and you intend to take portraits on a regular basis
I love this image. If I had taken it myself, I think I’d crop it so that her face is closer to the top right hand corner point of interest, and I’d have shot with a woder aperture to blur the background a bit.
But I like the traingle formed by the falen branch to the left of the picture.
I’d also ‘pop’ the exposure a little in curves to try and brighten her skin tone a bit and give it a more contemporary feel. But thats very much my style at the moment, it may not be yours.
That said, I think the most important thing is does Nicole like it?
thank you damiend gaffo and brightredshoes your opinions are much appreciated i dont tend to do anything with photos i plaice on this site in photoshop may be i should but i tend to think that a lot of the photos are overdone i should have cropped it i am not sure about blurring the background i took a lot that day some i blurred but i tend to like natural background myself
