I just got a new monitor, haven’t got the hardware to calibrate it yet-
so I’m just going on a seat of the pants manual setup here-
would be interested to know how the colour looks on your monitor-

It looks too warm on the Macbook, looks ok (ish) on the new one-

Got to get the hardware sorted out-
Don’t suppose anyone is thinking of selling something suitable?

This one from yesterday, Aoibheann is an actor, so needed something for her Spotlight-
this is one of many from the session-

Steve, that’s very generous of you, I might just take you up on that-
I do have a need to sort out this colour pretty quickly-

What’s a good system, or is it all x-rite these days?

there are basically 3 main ones

    colourmunki
    spyder
    eye1

i would say the eye1 is the most accurate, but i prefer the software on the spyder. the new spyder4 software is very very good

Cheers Steve, I might give you a call tomorrow, see what time suits, take a spin out…

I went with the eye1 after doing quite a bit of reading of reviews on Amazon. I haven’t been disappointed, but I have nothing to compare it with. Anything is better than trying to do it manually…I suffer from enough indecisiveness when I’m processing without worrying whether I’ve got the monitor calibrated right!
