These were taken in south Tipperary last week. C&C welcome

Taken handheld with a Canon 5D mark II with Canon 24-70 L and Sigma 12-24. (Turns out the sigma is pretty soft in the corners as you can see from number 1)

    1.

    2.

I allways hate it if people put up more then one photo in one thread to comment on. But worse is it if they hijack the whole forum with 5 pictures of the same stuff in seperate threads.
Also I don’t now what to comment on when so many pictures are presented.

    So what to say now.

Well the series i guess is very nice.
3 will do it for me
    Great colours.

I’ve read your comment a few times now and I’m still confused. These are all different enough I thought to go in one thread.

    Thanks for the compliment anyway.

Lovely colours in all. Number one for me. Like the clouds

No problem with you posting 5, have posted more than that myself in a single thread before….

i really like the last one, love the mountains and the clouds.
As for the comment about multi pictures, would you rather him place 4 seperate posts with 4 individual pictures? He also numbered them to make it easy to comment on them.

Also well done, i wish my picture from germany had turned out like these, so clear and the colors are amazing. keep up the good work.

Thanks lads, I also thought it was normal to post up more than one photo. Not trying to offend anyone :D

    Hi Brian,

I normally prefer one photo on a thread, just because I find it hard to say something useful about more than one image at a time. Don’t let that stop you though…there’s no rule against it!

Excellent colours and clouds here, but overall, I find the lighting and contrast a bit harsh. In image number one, I find the wide-angle distortion on the rapeseed flowers really distracting. I know you were probably trying to include some detail in the flowers, but the distortion is really obvious, especially in the lower-right. Number two has the most potential for me, but I would prefer a shot taken from further back to include a little more of the tree and foreground, with the track sweeping more into the frame.

    Thanks Doug, good points there.

For number 1, the 12-24 does distort a fair bit at the edges, I’m not sure how usable it is that wide. I haven’t noticed it as much before, the subject here shows it up more maybe.

With number 2, I probably would have included more foreground but there wasn’t much to work with, and I liked the way the track led to the edge of the frame.

    Cheers for the comment.

Nice set Brian, 4 is best for me, love the mountains and the clouds in the back ground too, closely followed by two, like the ankle of the track and use as a lead in.

    Well done.

    Hi Brian.
#4 works best for me out of these. I like the lead in line in #1, but the distortion in the corners is distracting. The contrail in #2 is also distracting. The composition in #3 doesn’t work for me at all.
As for if someone should post more than one shot in a thread or post a single shot each time, I think if the shots fit under the heading, then it should be a personal choice. ie landscapes under landscape, as is the case here.

what i mean to say is that I prefer to comment on one photo at the time. It makes it easier.

Nice pics all round. I think 3 would be great if the sky was cloudless. I think the blue, green, yellow combination would work well.

I think Justaguy just likes to sound controversial, each to there own.

I like the shots and its good to see variations of the same type of shot. Number 1 has the best composition for me. That said, and having been buried for an hour in the middle of a rapeseed field in the past without really getting a single good pic, I think the secret to these types of shots is to get them on an absolutely calm day whilst tripod mounted with high dept of field

Very nice series of shots Brian, nothing constructive really to say just like them. :)
