Went out today with my first proper shoot with a girl. I knew we were doomed from the start at the lightin was harsh and it was quite windy. Anyway I made the most of the wind, at the harsh sun and came up with these.
These area really nice and you have a lovely model. I really like number 4 but I think she is a bit close to the left side of the frame, also the sun glasses don’t do it for me as they are only covering her lovely eyes.
A re shoot in better light might be really worth it.
Hi Conor.
I don’t know very much about this type of photography, but maybe moving the girl into the shade of the trees would have given you a more even lighting setup which would improve the highlight / shadow situation. This would also help to put away the sunglasses without your model squinting in strong sunlight. Placing the sun behind the model could also be used to bring out highlights in her hair too, but you would need to over expose slightly so as not to have the model looking too dark. That said, you have done pretty well for a first try. Well done
