Newbie to photography

Hi Everyone,
My name is Karl. I have recently purchased my first DSLR which is a Canon EOS 1100D. I would greatly appreciate any information on courses (cheaper the better) and also I am looking for any tips on camera settings, I will be looking to take more or less still imagery and also landscapes. Can anyone point me in the right direction or places for these type of pictures I’m looking to take.
I don’t have a tripod just yet so it will be manual mode for the moment.
