San Francisco Last Weekend

one of the best cities I’ve ever been in. I think this trio captures the diversity of the place a little bit and the third especially shows how there are parts to San Francisco that you mightn’t have expected to find. No. 2 and 3 are definitely the better for me. I wish the third was a bit sharper. 2nd has a nice sense of mystery about it. B&W looks great.
MartinOCParticipantThree shots with very different feel to them.
The first is the best for me here, classic street, very good.
The third is nice too, has an a great reportage feel to it.
The second might do better with a second profile in it, talking with the driver, although the taxi is cool.Martin
wirepicParticipantI like 2 and 3 here.
2. The driver’s head blurred behind the perspex works very well for me I think maybe it might have been helped if it was taken from a slightly lower perspective so more of the street could be seen. Especially if the bus/tram was stopped at a pedestrian crossing. Then again that might take away from the darkness somewhat. Now I’ve confused myself :)
esthermolineParticipantIt’s difficult to say which of these I like best because they have very different styles, I like all three for some reason or another. The first one is a great street capture, very funny. What was that man doing there? Were the passing women reacting to what they thought he was doing? The second one is very moody, I really like the feel of it, and I think it’s very ‘cinematic’ (is that the expression?). I love the way the third one is composed, the angle and the expression on the woman’s face in those stark surroundings. It gives a lot to think about. Great work!!
davedunneParticipantThanks everyone – for some background on the first one, you can check out this guy on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Famous_Bushman
