Recommend lights for photographing print work?

    hey,

I’m setting up a DIY lightbox in the studio in work – for photographing our graphic design work. I’ve tried it with just regular table lamps but the bulbs are far too weak. What wattage would I need for good light – 250/500?

Could anyone recommend a fairly inexpensive set of lights suitable for the above? I don’t want to go buying the wrong thing. Any advice much appreciated.

    cheers :)

I made a DIY softbox and I use 100w crompton craftlights, the blue ones that give light closer to daylight. They’re in reflector housings and through white paper they give a good light and illuminate the subject really well. They’re only a few euro each as well.
