Tamron Aspherical [IF] Macro AF 18-200mm

  I just bought a TAMRON Aspherical [IF] MACRO AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD Lens for my Nikon D50. I’ve only taken shots with it once and I’m not sure if I’m happy with the final image quality. I know I need to take more images but I can return it within 7 days if I’m not happy.
  Just wondering if anyone else has one and how they find the results? :)

  I dont have that lens but I think it might help if you posted some of the images you are not happy with then people with the lens will be able to comment

  I’ve played around a bit more with the lens and am happier with the results.

  Seems good to me susarf. In particular the last one.
  Did you apply any sharpening to the 2nd shot ?

  try shooting a barcode or a ruler through the various f-stops. That will give you a good indication on sharpness/ fall off,

  Thanks for your comments. No sharpening. It is as it was.
