Any advice on how to improve this photo of my daughter? Apart from getting rid of the distracting object on the bottom right!

    Warren,
i don’t know how to improve it some people here will give you advice I am sure. The one thing I can say is taht it is a brilliant once in a lifetime capture. What was she watching?

maybe the way it was converted to B&W is the problem, there are a few tutorials on the sbject here which might help.

    Oh My God!!

You could crop, you could clone, you could blah blah blah!

Or, you could leave it be and take it for what it is, an absolutely beautiful picture, of a stunning model!!!!

No expert, but just my two cents worth.

Try a slight crop on the left and the bottom, but dont need to remove all the blur as it adds to it, a slight levels adjustment may help bring it out abit more. The expression is priceless and very well caught

Thanks Chris, I’ve taken thousands of photo’s where I considered the available light, the required DOF, composition etc etc yet I always seem to find that then best photo’s are the ones that come naturally. I’ve heard the expression “thinking without thinking” and I’m sure that applies to my photography. Having said that, PD_BARBS is spot on, taking a bit off the bottom and moving Hannah’s eye to the left slightly does add something!

Also try a bt of extra contrast. Beautiful capture too!
