My name is Levi (like the jeans) & I’m going to be heading over to Dublin (I live in Canada) tomorrow night for about a week and I’m planning to bring a couple cameras and a bunch of film.
I was just curious as to what I should look out for or be cautious of in where I go and/or what I make photos of. If there are parts of the city I should avoid as a ‘tourist’ (I doubt anyone would notice that until I started speaking though) or things I should avoid pointing a camera at.
I have a set agenda, but I’m not really committed to it, as I just kind of like to wander aimlessly.
I won’t be using any telephotos, strobes and I doubt I’ll bring a tripod. Probably going to bring my Pentax 67 and Nikon EM with a few standard lenses, just to give you an idea.
If you guys have any tips/info, I’d very much appreciate it!
Hi Levi,
Dublin is probably like any other city in the world, just have your wits about you all the time,
you will be surprised just how many people are out and about with a camera and you will not
stand out at all.
As to what to point the camera at, well almost anything I would say, there are some of the
buildings around the docks area that do not allow photography…but if you are not sure just
ask, have a good visit :)
