I have been using some second hand sb28’s and poverty wizards for a while now and want to get a proper studio flash setup as frankly cheap wobbly stands and ball heads are driving me mad :)
I would like to get a 2 or possibly 3 head system with softboxes that i can use my old brolley collection with, wireless would be nice and the ability to get all manner of addons later not to mention nice bright modeling lights.
Are damped stands affordable for my budget of 500 to 600 and have been looking t elinchrome d lights has anyone any opinions of brand systems they have used?
The D-Lite (“it”) kits now come with built in radio receivers and the kit also includes a transmitter – at no extra cost. Because they are Elinchrom , you can add a huge range of top quality accessories as and when required. Elinchrom lighting is available through any of the bigger dealers or directly from ourselves.
I Have gone with the dlite 4 it kit from barkerphotographic and will hopefully have a chance to try out a live subject soon in the meantime i have been practicing with old toys…
this was using a gridded light to camera left above and the second head with a bit of old purple and blue gel taped to the head aimed at the wall sadly the wall is too cloase and the subject too small to get a gradient going as i was against the far wall taking the shot… I need a bigger room :)
vignette was added in PS and a gold reflector was used to lift the shadows from the background
